Catering - Our Mission

We offer seasonal, naturally raised food, deliciously prepared and artfully presented. At least 50% of our ingredients come from within 150 miles of St. Louis, thereby reducing your event’s carbon footprint, and guaranteeing the freshest food available. Our specialty is serving fresh and seasonal foods. From vegetarian offerings to menus using free-range and grass-fed meats, we use only the highest quality ingredients. We take pride in supporting our local food system, including farmers, ranchers, and food artisans. Local Harvest Cafe & Catering will work with you to create your perfect event, and we will help make it “green” along the way.

Check out our catering menus here.

Event Rental

The cafe is available as an event space to be used in conjunction with our catering service or without it. It makes a great statement for the environmentally conscious business, and it is a comfortable gathering space for any small to mid-size meeting. Welcome to Local Harvest Grocery

As an independently operated grocery store we offer local produce and meats and organic foods of the freshest quality. We support local food artisans who prepare foods that are natural without preservatives or artificial flavorings. We work with regional farmers who practice sustainable agricultural methods that are better for the environment and conserve energy. Local food tastes fresher and retains more nutrients. Our goal is to have 50% of our products come from within 150 miles of St. Louis. We hope you enjoy our store.

Cut Your Food Costs and Still Eat Healthy

At Local Harvest we recognize that budgets are tight and that tough decisions are being made in homes regarding food and other necessities. To help with your budget, we have started offering different staple items each week on sale at our cost or just slightly above our cost. From milk to eggs to coffee and bread, we will be rotating the sale items each week. The savings are significant; when we put gallons of milk on sale, you will get a gallon of hormone-free and antibiotic-free milk, produced locally, for just $3.49. Watch for our emails and window signs with sale announcements. (If you are not on our email list, you can sign-up here).

Another way to cut costs is to order items in bulk. If you use a lot of canned tomatoes, for example, you can special order a case and get a 25% discount. Talk with your neighbors and form a buying club and place your orders through us. It's a good way to make healthy eating habits more affordable. To place a bulk order, email us what you are looking for and we will get prices back to you within 24 hours. Orders will be filled within 7 days at the most. Email us at contact@localharvestgrocery.com.

Thank you for supporting Local Harvest Grocery, your source for local and organic groceries!

Local Harvest Grocery wins Best Grocery Store in RFT's 2008 Best Of St Louis Issue

Excerpt: "When was the last time you saw a neighborhood grocery store that you wanted to visit? In a Norman Rockwell painting? The neighborhood grocery store might not be as dead and gone as the dodo, but it's close, squeezed out of our lives from the top (supermarket chains both local and national) and the bottom (7-Eleven and its nefarious clones). But in the past few years, a handful of astute entrepreneurs have realized that a neighborhood grocery store can provide something far more easily than either the big boys or the convenience stores can: the neighborhood."
