Thanksgiving Turkey Reservations

Turkey reservations are closed for 2025. If you’d like to be added to our waitlist you can give us a call at 314-865-5260.

Preorders for fresh pies from Sugaree Baking Company are closed. Pies will be available for pick up after noon on Tuesday, 11/25 or any time Wednesday, 11/26.

Turkeys: We’re selling broad-breasted white turkeys from Buttonwood Farm in California, MO and Double Star Farms in Benton, IL. They are pasture-raised, hormone-free, and antibiotic-free. They will be processed shortly before Thanksgiving and offered fresh (never frozen).

Price: The price is $5.49 per pound for whole turkeys, $9.99 per pound for turkey breasts. Reserve yours with a non-refundable $10 deposit. Payment for your turkey, less the $10 deposit, will be due by cash, credit, debit, check, or gift card when you pick up your turkey at Local Harvest.

Pick Ups: You will need to pick up your turkey on one of the two pick up days: Saturday 11/22 from 1-3 PM or Tuesday 11/25 from 4-6 PM. We will order a turkey in your size preference, but exact sizes will be first-come-first-served on each pick up day. We do not have the capacity to store turkeys beyond the designated pick up times.

We will send out an email the week of November 16 with all the details for your turkey pick up.

If you do not wish to reserve your turkey online, we are also taking reservations in person or over the phone at (314) 865-5260 (option 1). The last day to reserve a turkey will be end of day on Saturday, November 15.

Sorry, we are not offering heritage turkeys this year.

*The cost of turkeys increased from both of our farmers this year. Our farmers set their own prices to ensure they’re paid fairly for their labor and other inputs. Thank you for your understanding about this year’s price increase!

Turkey Pick Ups

Please note, pick ups are only available for customers who pre-ordered a turkey with us.

Where: Pick ups will be at Local Harvest Grocery. Our address is 3108 Morganford Road. We have a small parking lot just south of our building but street parking is also available.

When: Saturday pick ups are from 1-3 PM. Tuesday pick ups are from 4-6 PM. Please make sure you show up on the day you selected.

How:

      1. Turkeys will be available for pick up at Local Harvest on Saturday from 1 PM to 3 PM or Tuesday from 4 PM to 6 PM. You must stop by Local Harvest during this period to pick up your turkey. We do not have the storage capacity to hold turkeys beyond the cutoff time.

      1. Come in and find us in the back. We’ll work to find the right size turkey for you.

      1. Pick up your turkey. We will have ordered enough of each size range based on your reservation preferences, but we cannot guarantee specific sizes. The turkeys will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. If you need a specific size turkey, we recommend showing up early.  Generally the small size range sells the quickest.

      1. Bring your turkey to the register to pay. The deposit you paid to reserve the turkey will be deducted from your total. You can use a shopping cart to buy other groceries before getting in line.
